Cleverdon, Cyril William (1914-1997)
English information scientist. Librarian of Cranfield College of Aeronautics (U.K). Developed the “Cranfield Experiments” (funded by the National Science Foundation) and introduced the concepts recall and precision to study the performance of information retrieval systems.
