Knowledge organizing processes

In the narrow concept with in Library and Information Science (LIS) are knowledge organizing processes understood as abstracting, cataloging, classification, indexing, linking etc.

As with the concept of knowledge organization systems are there also broader processes in society, which must be considered knowledge organizing, e.g. organizing educations, media and scientific journals.
