ISDS (International Serials Data System)
The International Serial Data System (ISDS) is an international network of operational; and regional centres, jointly responsible for the creation and maintenance of computer based data banks which contain essential information for the identification of serials published throughout the world.

Under the system, each serial is given an ISSN number. The ISDS International Centre is in Paris.

ISDS-Denmark is located at the Royal Library in Copenhagen. It produces bibliographical records of periodicals published in Denmark for the Royal Library's database REX and for the international ISDS-database, which in Denmark is integrated with DanBib (formerly in ALBA). This center allocates ISSN numbers for the indexed periodicals and thus administer the allocation of these numbers in Denmark. The ISDS-base contains in 1990 about 400.000 titles.
