Knowledge Shop

One meaning of "knowledge shops" are institutions or services within higher education in which it is possible to request investigations for a fee. It is an attempt to strengthen the connections between students and teachers in higher education and their actual or potential users. The quote below (in Danish) contains a suggestion for establishing a knowledge shop (Danish: Vidensbutik) in the field of Library and Information Science.

" (Kragh-Nielsen, 1995).

It is difficult to find literature about knowledge shops, and the idea may have been a short-living one.
