Signal

"In information theory a signal is a flow of information". (Wikipedia, 2005). In information theory are signals opposed to noise.

 

A signal is a kind of sign intended to warn, to give a command or to bring a message. The Russian psychologist Ivan Pavlov described human language as a second-order signal system.
