Subject bibliographer
A bibliographer may be defined as someone trained in compiling bibliographies. The may also, however, be defined in the following way:
"Bibliographers are librarians who are responsible for the selection and
development of information resources for their assigned subjects. Bibliographers
work closely with their respective departmental chairs and faculty and are
available to confer individually with faculty and students concerning research
needs, library instruction, existing library resources, new acquisitions, and
other library matters." (University of Texas Libraries, 2002).
According to the last definition are the terms "bibliographer" and "subject bibliographer" synonymous.
