You can apply to The Royal School of Library and Information Science either as a

The requirements are: TOEFL: Paper-based test: 570 , Internet-based test: 88 TOEFL- score reports has to be sent directly to RSLIS by the test-center. The TOEFL code of RSLIS is 1911 IELTS: A score of at least 6.5 is required. RSLIS only accept valid test results! Further requirements:
The application must include documentation of your academic qualifications for the study and exact documentation of examinations which have been passed at university level. The examination certificates and documentation must be in English, German, Danish, Swedish or Norwegian (or accompanied by a legally certified copy in English) and verified by the university with stamp and signature. Your application should be sent to the International Study Secretariat. Wthin 4-6 weeks after the deadline you will be notified about your acceptance by e-mail and by regular mail.
Admission Procedures for International Students
The International Masters Programme in Library and Information Science leads to the degree of Master in Library and Information Science (M.L.I.Sc.).You can apply to The Royal School of Library and Information Science either as a
- degree seeking student: A foreign student wishing to follow a complete 2-year programme of study leading to a Master's degree from The Royal School of Library and Information Science
or as a
- guest/exchange student: A foreign student from a partner institution wishing to study at The Royal School of Library and Information Science for 1 or 2 semesters as an integral part of a study programme at an institution or higher education in another country

- The student has attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science or a First Degree in Librarianship, or
- The student has a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent from another higher education institution. In the latter case, acceptance will depend on an individual subject evaluation
- examination results within the qualifying examination,
- examination year of the qualifying examination (fall in weighting year by year).

- Applicants who are citizens of an EU-country or of one of the following countries: Australia, Bahamas, Canada, Guyana, Iceland, Jamaica, Norway, New Zealand, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, or the United States of America.
- Applicants who earned their full bachelor's degree in English in the USA, the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Applicants who are currently completing or have previously completed at least six months of English taught studies in a Danish university applying to a minimum of 20 ECTS credit points.

When applying for the full programme starting the following September the deadline for submitting an application is:
March 15th. When applying for the full programme starting the following February the deadline is:
September 15th
Guest/Exchange Students
The deadline for applying for the fall semester (1st of September-late January) is: May 1st
The deadline for applying for the spring semester (1st of February- late June) is: December 1st
